Millburn Message

I change the weekly “Mayor’s Message” to the “Millburn Message”, an opportunity for all Committee members to impart Township related information to the public.

I changed the annual Mayoral Appointments to Township Boards and Commissions to appointment by consensus of the Governing Body, allowing all qualified residents to serve regardless of party affiliation.

I stared the monthly employee spotlight on social media.

I fostered communication and restored civility with the Township Committee to ensure productive business meetings.

The importance of the Special Improvement District and what it provides to the businesses and property owners.

Animal Control

I worked to bring Animal Control back in house providing a better service
For our residents.
I’ve built and fostered important relationships for the implementation of the Orange Reservoir bypass, a critical flood mitigation effort that the Township has been working on for years.

Fair Share Housing

I have fought and will continue to fight against unfair Fair Share Housing, including overdevelopment in Millburn Township. We are trying to add alternate sites, senior development, and workforce housing with our next round.

We are working, as a group to come up with the best solutions to address our next round of housing obligations.

I voted for our municipality to join Montvale’s lawsuit and have been named as a plaintiff individually in my capacity as Mayor to be part of a new federal suit that was filed by the Montvale group.

Affordable Housing in NJ needs to be fixed. We must maintain Millburn’s character while addressing our obligations. We have been and always will be a welcoming community. We pride ourselves on our diversity.
