Romano and Cohen Eager to Debate Republican Candidates For Township Committee

MILLBURN, NJ – Annette Romano and Michael Cohen welcome the opportunity to debate Republican candidates Kris Heinrichs and Jamie Serruto so they can ask them the tough questions.
Essex County’s vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed out on September 20 and will take a while to be fully distributed. The Charter Study Commission may delay Millburn’s receipt of mail-in ballots.
Here’s Romano’s and Cohen’s record:
- Implemented policies that have significantly reduced crime.
- Hired more police officers to protect our community.
- Invested in modern crime-fighting technology.
- Created a popular Community Policing Division to strengthen ties between police and residents
- Opposed and voted against the unpopular 9 Main Street Project
- Joined a lawsuit with other municipalities against New Jersey to fight Unfair Fair Share Housing
- Secured funding for a state-of-the-art, all-inclusive playground at Taylor Park
- Opened new pickleball courts at Gero Park
- Voted for the Taylor Park Gateway Project which will beautify the Millburn Avenue entrance
- Revitalized the business districts making them more vibrant and prosperous
- Overseen renovations to the Millburn Library to improve access and functionality
- Led renovations at the Paper Mill Playhouse the crown jewel of Millburn-Short Hills
- Initiated plans to renovate Town Hall, transforming it into a state-of-the-art, inclusive civic center
- Addressing Flood Mitigation received $500,000 in direct state appropriations as part of the New Jersey Fiscal Year 2026. This funding will support the Gilbert Place stormwater pump station project. Working with the City of Orange and County of Essex on a project at the Orange Reservoir that will help to mitigate flooding downstream into Millburn.
